Through distinct initiatives — develop, promote, lead, and inspire — the NOHHF Nueva Gen Program is committed to empowering and shaping the next generation of talented young leaders. Our focus areas include career & academic pathways, financial literacy, professional development, and leadership development, ensuring participants have the tools and experiences needed to guide and strengthen our future.

2026 initiatives:

Career & Academic Pathways. Provide structured guidance, mentorship, and resources to help students navigate academic requirements, explore career options, and successfully transition into higher education and professional careers.

The Pan-American Life Pre-Med Scholar Program serves as a key initiative supporting students pursuing careers in healthcare.

Financial Literacy & Empowerment. Equip students with essential financial skills, including budgeting, debt management, and long-term financial planning, to support both academic achievement and personal financial success.

The New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation / Regions Bank Financial Responsibility Program: “Reality Check” provides hands-on learning experiences in financial responsibility.

Professional Development Initiatives. Offer workshops, networking opportunities, and skill-building sessions focused on communication, resume development, interviewing, and workplace readiness.

The CHCI (Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute) Conference Program provides students with exposure to professional environments, career pathways, and leadership in public service.

Leadership Development Opportunities. Create programs that foster leadership skills, community engagement, and decision-making abilities, preparing students for impactful roles in their careers and communities.

The Inspirational Role Model Speaker Series Program features professionals who share real-world experiences, career journeys, and insights to inspire and guide the next generation.
